A Classic in the Making

Rush has created another sonic masterpiece. This album is a step from their general arsenal of music, with a harder and gritter edge to it, more rock-ish. The Rush formula is there: Crashing drums, furious fretwork, and incomprehensable lyrics. Geddy has a world-weary hint and creates atmosphere from dark and moody to fun rock and roll. It for sure has a darker hint at first, but there is so much fun and life here. My only complaint is too many instrumentals: The Main Monkey Business, Hope, and Malignant Narcissism. If you don't want them, just get one. Malignant Narcissism is a truely incredible Rush performance.

meh

another failure from rush. they really havnt put out a good album since signals. Not a great album since moving pictures. if you want a great rush album go with moving pictures or anything before that. How can the most tallented musicians keep putting these dull uninteresting albums over and over again. if you buy this album you will listen to it once or twice then never again. Rush is a great band but the lack direction and purpose. they dont know what they want to do. in their earlier years at least they had a vision now it's just another day at the office.

All around beautiful album...!!!

I'm a new..ish Rush fan and have been completely blown away by the sheer genius of this incredible power trio! They are masters of their craft and the 3 of them together offer the music world something that is lacking in today's music scene..
I've started from the very beginning right up to Snakes and Arrows, and I
must say that it took me awhile to appreciate the elegance if this record, but now I can't stop listening to it! Every listen I discover something new and exciting!
I like the direction they've taken and am looking forward to seeing what Clockwork Angels has to offer! I'm sure it will be nothing less than brilliant!
I'm a proud Canadian and even prouder that we are home to the greatest rock band in history! Keep on workin them angels boys!
