Lindsay's Sound is my sound!
Far and long we've waited for the debut CD from Lindsay Ferguson. And it’s worth the wait. On first listen what strikes me the most is the diversity of the CD. The first half of the CD is more experimental and more Lindsay Live than anything else. The second half of the CD are where the radio hits are. Breakthrough and 1000 Kisses are the strongest and most emotional songs for me. Well worth the wait!
Amazing Debut Album -- Rated #2 Best Canadian Album of 2007!!
I'm not even a 'Folk' fan but this album is great, I didn't feel the need to skip a single song except I didn't much care for 'Wine Song' -- but other then that all amazing stuff. I can't beleive 'Touch of Sin' isn't topping the popularity it was one of my favourites. This album has a great track to track transition (something I find very very rare) so it's really easy to just throw on, turn up the volume and sit back. The tracks scream energy and passionate rage. Hats off to you Lindsay Ferguson -- sure to be one of the big artists to be heading to a global audience in the next few years. Should I have been a 'Folk' fan earlier? -- Rated #2 Best Canadian Album of 2007 by the Ottawa Citizen, only topped by Feist (largest newspaper in Ottawa, Ontario. Canada).
Well Worth Your $9.99
I had the pleasure to hear Lindsay perform this entire album last night in Bermuda - just her and her guitar. A fearsome vocalist - perfect pitch over a huge range, very skillful and tasty embellishments. Great original song writing: I like every song on this album. If you like the sound of Alanis Morrissette, Dido, Rickie Lee Jones, Sara McLachlan, or Joni Mitchell, I think you will really like this very talented singer/song writer. Her band kicks too.
