Not too shabby at all!
An eclectic mix of tunes, ranging from the catchy upbeat "Pamplemousse" to the fanciful swaying of "My Summer Beard".
This album starts off with the comfortable building and intermixing of bells, xylophone, and increasingly complex back-beats.
The varied mix of instruments and moods is interesting here. Sounds inspired by Boards of Canada, but far more accessible and fun.
The final track sums up my take on the album; some whacky samples woven through some handsome melodies and softly elaborate beats.
Highly recommend it - I love the song titles, especially "You got Rickety Stairs, I got a Rickety Heart", and "Say No to Demographics"
If this is Sik Transit's first record, I look forward to hearing more.
