WAS a good song!
I honestly don't know what Edward Maya is doing. The version with Vike Jigulina was the BEST! He should have just left it alone. Vika had a really good voice that suited the song and this Mia Martina's voice doesn't. It was best when Edward sang in it too, I really don't like this version. Vika and Edward were the better together, this is nothing. WHAT ARE YOU DONING EDWARD MAYA!? LEAVE THE SONG ALONE! IT WAS GOOD ENOUGH!!!
Excellent Song
This song is a hit regardless of what other say and also Mia Martina is hot
An unnecessary cover
As far as my research says, Edward Maya didn't give permission for this cover, but Ultra Records has rights to it and instead of just letting it be a hit AS IS, they produced this remix/cover with a Canadian artist.
The WORST part of it all is that she was advertising her tour shows as "Edward Maya and Mia Martina" although he was never with her on the tour (and in turn, it made it harder for him to tour because they thought he was already coming). Maybe legally the label has to use his name? I don't know. I just hope she has more to share with the world than this song, because she's riding the wave of success of the original which many people have confused with this one. I hope this was all a big misunderstanding (for Mia's sake), but I haven't found anything to contradict this.
I don't think it's even a very good cover to begin with (sorry Mia, but the vocals don't bring anything new to the scene) and the video is atrocious. I don't know how many times we need to see the rims of a car in one video, but I'm pretty sure once was enough. I'm all for supporting local artists, but this is a sad situation. Nothing creative was done here. It's really too bad they stooped to such a low level. Shame on you, Ultra. If you want to support good music, support Edward Maya directly. He has two more singles out now.
