Album Review

Like their former tourmates and eternal soulmates Buckcherry, Hinder work real hard to have a real good time. This is especially true on Take It to the Limit, a sequel to their 2005 debut, Extreme Behavior, where they take their surprise success as vindication for bad behavior. Hinder show a great love for Guns N' Roses, recycling the escalating chromatic riff from "Sweet Child O' Mine" on the album-opening pair of "Use Me" and "Loaded and Alone," which also finds lead singer Austin Winkler adopting an Axl Rose growl, which is a welcome departure from his node-busting scream. Not that Hinder is quite stuck in the past: their great innovation is marrying this raunch to Goo Goo Dolls power ballads. However, like anybody too beholden to their idols, they often tread familiar ground too carefully.

Back and Better!!!

Who ever thought these guys were a "one hit wonder" are sadly mistaken! this album is just as good or even better than Extreme Behavior! they have captured the energy of what good, fun rock and roll is supposed to be! full of great songs from front to back!

AWESOME

"Take It To The Limit" beats out "Extreme Behaviour" anyday. Extreme Behaviour was good, but this cd is so much better. Each song is catchy, and very "Rock" Every song on this album are amazing. GO HINDER!

"Cough"... CRAP!

Honestly people this is not rock and roll or hardcore rock for that matter! They sound like any other band out there due to raspy voice and horrible guitar riffs and such. So why not hop on the band wagon and make them famous for their crappy lyrics and sound because this band is exactly the epitomy of what 2008's rock culture has become. Where are the Guns and Roses, Muse, Black Sabbath, Metallica, which can be remembered for their contribution to the rock scene, something this band will never have the chance to do because after a year or so people will lose all memory they even existed and their 20's of fame will be up! i would rate this a don't even bother cause your ears will bleed! Don't support this crap, save your money and purchase GOOD music

Years Active: '00s, '10s

Hinder began crafting cocky, raucous post-grunge in the early 2000s, when Oklahoma City residents Joe Garvey and drummer Cody Hanson found Austin Winkler singing cover songs at a college party. The three formed the nucleus of Hinder, and the group started landing gigs opening locally for such bands as Theory of a Deadman. Lineup changes brought guitarist Mark King and bassist Mike Rodden into the fold, and the quintet signed with Universal after issuing a self-released EP. Their 2005 full-length...
