**The Next Level For Mobile**
This is a great album, great songs, not the greatest record ever but one of the best albums on the market at the moment (that is why I give 4 stars). If you like: The Cure, Joy Division, Cult, Pink Floyd, U2... get this album. In my opinion, it is better and more original than their debut album which was compared to The Killers and Franz Ferdinand. There's no band today that sounds like Mobile on this album. It sounds like if all the bands I've mentionned above (The Cure, Joy Division...) were blended together and there you are ... old stuff but very fresh and original. There’s a good future for this band and they deserve to be well known. Good improvement from the first album and I will expect more for the third one. Favorite songs: Mother, Hit the Floor #7, No Tomorrow, Gravity, Slow Motion Car Crash.
Perfect Follow-Up to "Tomorrow Starts Today"
Mobile isn't afraid to wear their influences on their sleeve, and it shows on Tales from the City. Imagine the perfect amalgamation of The Police, Billy Idol and the best of the 1980's and 1970's, combined with a modern-day Pink Floyd, and now sprinkle in some NIN-influenced industrial beats and experimentation. Infuse Mobile's tenacity and gift for catchy energetic rock and you get this record. It's dark, it's diverse, it's innovative. The album flows from start to finish like a soundtrack to a thrilling action film. This band has a sound as big as Coldplay or U2, and it's beyond my comprehension that they don't get the worldwide recognition to show for it. Top tracks: "Daylight Breaks" and "Slow Motion Car Crash". This album rocks - truly epic.

Mobile nous a démontrés à quel point ils étaient cappables de faire de la bonne musique lors de leur premier album, Tomorrow Starts Today. Pour Tales from the City, ils ont utilisé une formule différente. Ils ont créé un son particulier. Personnellement, ça me prit du temps pour m'habituer à ce changement car je m'attendais à un album plus pop rock. Heureusement, on retrouve encore ce son dans Gravity, The Killer et Live to Find ce qui rend Tales from the City un opus varié et pas seulement mélancolique. Pour leur nouveau style, plutôt sombre, je trouve qu'Ils ont ajouté un + au groupe. Des chansons comme Slow Motion Car Crash, Sweet Light et Hit the Floor # 7 démontrent à quel point Mobile peut faire de la bonne musique!. En général, je suis ASSEZ content avec le résultat final de cet album. Il aurait vraiment fallu d'ajouter Don't Wait, car cette chanson répresente comme il faut le nouveau style « Dark & Pop » de Mobile.
