iTunes Review

“D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)” is perhaps the most pointed track (it appears twice) on 2009’s The Blueprint 3, the third and final (?) album in the “Blueprint:” series. Though it sounds like bragging when Jay-Z rails against one of the music business’ most over-used and abused technological innovations, it does add a tougher drive and focus to the underlying music. Jay-Z uses a slew of guests to help flesh out his musical vision here. Kanye West produces seven tracks (guesting on “Hate” as well), Timbaland handles three, while Young Jeezy (“Real As It Gets”), Drake (“Off That”), Swizz Beats (“On to the Next One”), Pharrell (“So Ambitious”) and Kid Cudi (“Already Home”) guest on tracks for an all-star party feel that ranges from raw and real to freaked out and spacey. Alicia Keys joins the chorus of “Empire State of Mind,” a track that Jay-Z the marketer might try pitching to the New York State Chamber of Commerce.

Excellent work of art by the roc

This album is absolutely amazing ...in my opinion this is meant to be another one of hova s classics

Classic

There are many people sayin' that this album is horrible, and when I say the tracklist I was skeptical of the album. But after I heard it over I started to like it. The beats Kanye and No I.D. made are sick, even the beats the Timbaland made are good. In my opinion this album is a classic, Jay's always tryin' to make some new s-it, and its always going to be good. It's better than Kingdom Come and American Gangster, It's even better than The Blueprint 2, for me it's about even with the original Blueprint. In my opinion the best tracks are D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune), On to the Next One, Venus Vs. Mars, and Hate is good as well (either you love it or you hate it), and Young Forever is the sickest track from the album.

Overall: Five Stars

Cold.

"so gullible" it's called sampling, fool. Welcome to hip-hop.
