Danger Mouse, form the arms and torso! James Mercer

I cannot stop listening to this song. Since writing that first sentence I listened to it twice more. The Shins' James Mercer brings all of his charm here. A delightful melody with a catchy chorus and cryptic lyrics that make you feel all warm in places. "It's too late to change your mind, you let loss be your guide" is the only lyric I'm 100% sure of, but still, brilliance at work here, people! Here's the magic though: All of that is just a pancake on a bunny compared to the beautiful instrumentation like the pretty piano, sweet drum beat, rattly sounding percussiony things, computer-sounding doodads, and vocal background harmonies. It's really spectacular. I listened to like five times writing this. Buy it!

The Frames + Gnarls Barklay

This song is awesome. So excited for the album. I read about this a while ago - it's one half of the Shins, and one half of Gnarls Barklay, and it sounds like it.

Just awesome.

Love It!

Unfortunately, I can't find any more music by the Broken Bells, so I will just have to wait patiently until more is released. If you are a Shins fan, check this out.

The pair were inspired to collaborate when they met at 2004’s Roskilde music festival in Denmark, where they discovered they were fans of each others’ work. However, they didn’t start writing and recording together as a band...
