The Best One Yet!

It's been a while since I've been waiting for an album by Jack Johnson that was a bit more than just lullabies and a guitar. His first and second album were great but by the fourth album I had become very bored with that formula. It was time for Jack Johnson to up the ante a bit and release an album that was more upbeat and instrumentally more interesting. To The Sea is, to me, a milestone for dear ol' Jack. This album is packed with catchy songs (as usual) but also contains electric guitar, more piano and edgier songs, which makes for variety throughout the album. I am extremely pleased with this album and am looking forward to it being my soundtrack for the summer!
Kudos Jack!

Yes!

The reason why this album is at the top of the charts while Rokkstarr is at #2 is because this guy is way more artistic and appeals to a much wider group of people; young and old alike, pretty much everyone loves him. It's been a few years since his last album, Sleep Trough The Static, of which I wasn't totally taken with. This one, however, surpasses that one by far and is probably one of his best. What I love about Jack Johnson is that all of his songs are just easy going, laid-back tunes that utilize Jack Johnson's sweet crooning voice and is mellow guitar, all the while backed by easy Hawaiian percussion. His lyrics are always positive and written about things that are worth something, rather than Taio Cruz's less musical tracks that repeat the lyrics over and over. The lyrics and whole outlook on life his songs give off allows people to be more at peace. This is real music.

BEST ALBUM! Jack Knows How to do it Best!

Dear Jack, marry me?

Before Jack Johnson became the 21st century kingpin of beachside pop/rock, he was a champion surfer on the professional route. The sport was second nature to the Hawaiian native, who began chasing waves as a toddler and, by the age of 17, had become an outstanding athlete on the Banzai Pipeline. However, Johnson was also testing other creative outlets — specifically film and music — and a serious surfing accident during his first professional competition convinced him to devote more time...
