iTunes Review
With the 2009 departure of songwriter/guitarist Ryan Ross and bassist Jon Walker, many fans expected Panic! at the Disco to either disband or hire new members. Unpredictably, Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith decided to forge ahead as a duo. Subsequently, 2011’s Vices & Virtues furthers Panic! at the Disco’s fascination with vaudevillian emo and hook-laden power pop, sounding as if the only noticeable change is a stronger focus on songwriting and more economical arrangements. It starts with the incredibly catchy “The Ballad of Mona Lisa,” where a dark whimsy contrasts sunny melodies in the chorus. Urie’s voice sounds so seasoned and confident, especially in the orchestra-laden “Ready to Go (Get Me out of My Mind),” which plays with just enough endearing teenage drama and ‘80s pop influences to recall the soundtracks to John Hughes’ films. Of the bonus tracks on the deluxe edition, “Stall Me” is a powerhouse of driving heartfelt guitar pop, and the demo of “Oh Glory” is danceable emo pop at its best.

Ready To Go? Oh Glory, This Album Is Nearly Witches and Full of Memories
For a duo, that was a quartet of a quick beat, Synth and sexual emotional metaphoric mixed lyrics “A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out” debut album and the Beach Boys mash up of the Beatles mellow sound, “Pretty.Odd.” album, they made another shift in their sound again. Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith have outdone it on their own to countinuing the Panic (with the explanation mark) legacy. No doubt once you take in the entire album that is a mash-up of both “A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out” and Pretty.Odd.” and has some kind of nostalgic sound to it. Besides Panic’s weak verses without the help of former band mate Ryan Ross, their choruses’ tramples in heavy sound to make them catchy and worth dancing to. The born again virgins, the new Panic! At the Disco get’s a clean sleight with this joy ride, victory lap before really hitting a rockstar album like the expectations of their debut album.
Don't expect it to be like their first to albums. Just expect another loveable Panic! album.
Amazing
Panic! has done it again, but sorry iTunes i'm going tonight to buy the actual cd :)
Way better then Pretty Odd
It's way better then Pretty Odd, but not as epic as A fever you can't sweat out!!
I recongnize their old sound, but a little bit of Pretty Odd too.
Still miss the incredibly long titles of the first album!
