Shock Therapy

I feel Bjork's music is such a suitable recipe for the modern world, for those who have thin souls to absorb all the coarseness of it, yet keep all the fire inside. Those who need a change, and only find it suitable to be represented by such an artistic revolution, such an intricate conglomerate of emotions stretched between the patches of energy, truly electrical.

A Grower

Truly another masterpiece by Bjork. At first it may be hard to take, especially for fans of her more introspective albums like Vespertine and Medulla, but for the Homogenic fans, Volta might be a great addition. The Dull Flame of Desire is wraught with beauty that I had no idea was in it when I first heard it. Declare Independence is an incredible song with rave-like beats and features Bjork at her most aggressive and outward yet. The use of horns in Vertebrae By Vertebrae was an instant favourite of mine, and there are others that will be great for exciting, tribalistic tracks. Bjork can do no wrong.

Good.

This is a good album, but this iTunes version is missing some parts of the song. Buy it in stores.

Debut, her first solo effort (except for an Icelandic-only...
