Heart-wrenching
If you're a fan of AC, country or ballads in general, this is a great song supporting a great cause. Its moving lyrics tell the story of an anxious family awaiting the return a loved one deployed overseas to serve their country. I don't take this to be about politics - any family from any country who has a relative in the army can relate to the root emotions explored in the track. Basia Lyjak's music may be more in the alternative/rock/pop genre, but this shows she's a versatile singer and performer with an amazing voice, and that she can perform any song with as much passion as if it were her own. All proceeds from this go to www.woundedwarriors.ca.
