Wonderfully Musical!
I have had this CD for awhile now, and upon listening to it yet again, I am continually impressed with how beautiful the music is. After finding out that he wrote all these songs (co-wrote a couple) I am blown away with his understanding of the classic american songbook. his and his band's performance make this very relaxing to hear, and he is on his way to becoming the next Cole Porter, even if this style of music is no longer "pop" music like it once was.
Excellent Smooth Jazz
Johnny has a fantastic voice for ballads and puts it to great use here, as well as some solid trumpet playing. This is pretty well a ballad-only albumn, but very enjoyable in the right mood. Definately a rising talent

Like John in real life, this album is TOTAL CLASS ! Tell your friends about John, Let's get this guy to make us another gift of music. Thi guy is the real class act in this genre. I know I wish I could sing like hm.
