This extraordinary CD spans Western music over four centuries and from four distinct musical periods offering selections from the greatest to unknown composers (who is Reeves Miller?)—a true a testament to the remarkable versatility and range of Yaroslav Senyshyn’s technical skills emotionally expressed as Ian Winchester says in his introduction.
The first selection, my favourite, is Bach-Siloti’s Prelude in B Minor which grabbed me by the lapels, stood me up to attention and carried me through the some of the most exquisite melody lines ever written with delicacy, sensitivity and nuance. A piece you could listen to repeatedly, without ever tiring of it! Ten Stars!!
