My favourite app ever
I have never had any problems with this app. I use it for hours every day. I love it. I'll never read a pesky paper book again.
The Kindle app still needs much improvement
The Kindle is probably the name that most people thinks of when talking about ebook readers so why is the Kindle app for the iPad still in need of improvement to bring it to the standard that we expect from Adobe?
Here are a few of the features that are needed to improve the Kindle app:
1. Ability to select other fonts, line spacing, etc.
2. Ability to set text justification to 'Left'. Full justification in large text sizes does not work well.
3. Option to show one page in 'Landscape' orientation instead of double page.
4. Kindle must be the only ebook reader that does not have a proper Table of Contents (only shows the contents as a text page). This makes the Kindle app look very 'amateurish'.
And to make this app more 'Accessible' to the visually impaired the following improvements would be welcome:
1. At least one more increment in text size.
2. Compatible with VoiceOver to have the app read the book using VoiceOver (similar to iBooks).
Works for me
Using a Canadian Kindle account, able to download my purchased books. Haven't noticed any terrible qualities, it dropped out once when trying to open a large book, but perhaps it hadnt finished downloading yet.
Fairly minimal interface, but decent enough to use when i dont have the Kindle with me.
