How can an iPad app be worse than an iPhone app?
How is it possible that such a great iPhone app is such a horrible iPad app??? That seems backwards. I would be much happier if the iPad had the SAME functionality as the iPhone app. I'm not sure why the developers removed so much functionality. It's a real shame since they could do some amazing things with this app on the iPad.
Update: New update ... and the iPad version is still underwhelming.
iPad version a waste of app space
IPad version lacks all features that would have made this app functional. You can not see or update your profile features. This means you cannot post reviews as well. The 'Recent' reviews does not offer 'list' view as well. A real waste of app space on IPad. The only reason I still keep it is hoping that some day reasoning will kick in at the 'Yelp' dev team and would have an update that could make the app useful on IPad!! So far this is missing!
Excellent improvements
I guess we don't need more layers of social media but i am enjoying the latest updates of the Yelp app, especially the feature of 'Liking' and commenting on check-ins. Makes the app more functional, more social media oriented as well.
Generally far less glitches and lots of helpful features like adding businesses on the fly etc.
