Photography, not much else

This movie is little more than a slideshow of Burtynsky's photography. There is not much added information or insight. Individuals who are interested in photography would enjoy this movie, but there's nothing here for the rest of us.

Brilliant

One of my favorite docs of all time. Opening shot is jaw dropping.

Manufactured Landscapes

The cinematography/photography in this film propel the viewer into an uncharted territory. What you see on screen seems familiar at first, but you are guided into perceiving from an entirely perspective. The sheer scale of massive industrial terraforming is both shocking and incomprehensible. An alternative title might be "Alien Landscapes" as it is hard to believe that environmental damage on this scale is happening here and now. An amazing and powerful film.
