Cross Canada Backroads

Cinq fuseaux horaires et demis, deux langues et une profusion de cultures ethniques et musicales tous entremêlés au cours de notre voyage à travers le Canada. On retrouve tout d'abords l'éternelle « Canadian Railroad Trilogy » de Gordon Lightfoot, un éloge aux terrassiers ayant construit un pays en joignant l'Océan atlantique et le Pacifique. Également à saveurs historiques, bien que moins joyeux, on retrouve « Acadian Driftwood » de The Band. Puis finalement « Saskatchewan » par Les Trois Accords, une triste et douce ballade des plaines. Five-and-a-half time zones, two languages, and a profusion of ethnic and musical cultures all meld in our Canadian cross-country journey. At the top is Gordon Lightfoot's immortal "Canadian Railroad Trilogy," a paean to the navvies who built a country as they joined the Atlantic and Pacific. Equally historic, though less happily so, is the setting for the Band's "Acadian Driftwood." And Les Trois Accords' "Saskatchewan" is a sad, sweet ballad of the plains.
