While his name may not be as well known as those of Timbaland or Dr. Dre just yet, there's no denying the winning streak Dr. Luke's been on since 2004. That'd be the year he coproduced two Top 10 hits for Kelly Clarkson — the glossy rock guitars and collision-course verses of "Since U Been Gone" and "Behind These Hazel Eyes." Since then, he's been behind the boards for everything from the signature, synth-laced smashes of Katy Perry ("Teenage Dream," "California Gurls") to a genre-jumping Weezer session (the distorted, heat-seeking hooks of "I'm Your Daddy").

In fact, that's how he met his future production partner Max Martin — at a house party Dr. Luke was DJing.
