Each of the teams behind those productions, though, comes with its own sound. For the Neptunes, moving a crowd means a futurist bent of swooping synthesizers met halfway down to the dance floor by bass drops that can do some serious damage to factory car stereos. It also means complementing every hook with a cast of vastly different, challenging characters (No Doubt to Nelly, Ol' Dirty Bastard to Usher).
