- 2. "Fantomes" by Khan: "This track is quite sexy. I don't understand French, but doesn't all French spoken by a whispering girl sound sexy? And it still has this mystique and attractive vibe lying underneath."
- 3. "Venus in Furs" by The Velvet Underground & Nico: "A classic tune from a great, great album with the faumous banana cover (by Andy Warhol, who actually also produced this album.) The sadomasochistic drone track, with its retuned guitars and violin screaming in the background and Lou Reed in front is so hypnotizing and breathtaking. When I heard it the first time, I think I was 13 or 14 years old, I was totally shocked, and I immediately ran down and bought the album."
- 4. "(That's How You Sing) Amazing Grace" by Low: "I was introduced to this band by Mikael Simpson, and fell in love with them immediately. This very calm track with so much space and time is just damn good. Very uncompromising."
- 5. "Long Way Around the Sea" by Low: "Again, a Low tune. What more can I say? Close your eyes and listen! So beautiful!"
- 6. "The Clock" by Thom Yorke: "A track taken from Thom Yorke's brilliant debut album The Eraser. I think this mixture of phenomenal songwriting and the electronic soundscapes makes this album fresh and it's appealing a lot to me. And then again: a sublime voice!"
- 7. "Sea of Love" by Cat Power: "This is a very beautiful (and for me, personal) sad track. The lyrics are very simple, but you believe in Chan Marshall when she sings 'em."
- 8. "The Pink Room" by David Lynch: "I'm a big, big fan of Lynch's movies. They all have this twist of paranoia. His ability to tell several stories in one inspired me a lot while working on my debut album, The Last Resort. I choose this song because it made so deep an impact on me. It's taken from a scene in the Twin Peaks movie, Fire Walk With Me. I loved that scene and the music just tells the story. So dusty, druggy, dangerous, and erotic! Great!"
- 13. "Get Dancey" by New Young Pony Club: "Great band from UK. I play a lot of thier tracks. Love the electro-indie sound they have. Check out also "Ice cream" another great tune..."
- 14. "Beautiful Feeling" by PJ Harvey: "Beautiful PJ Harvey! I have so much respect for her. Her songwriting and her voice is so unique and raw. This track I have had in my iPod for the last year, listening to it nearly every day, and I never get tired of it. I love the lyrics in it."
- 15. "Waters of Nazareth" by Justice: "Again a rough and dirty sound but purely electronic. Justice is a pioneer! I simply love their work and remixes."
