Can't do nothing but hockey
This is supposedly a SPORTS SHOW (you know basketball, football, golf etc) but all it is is HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY. Atleast call the show what it is when Watters would rather talk to a healthy scratch on the Hamilton Bulldogs than with Brian Colangelo. But seeing how bad he is when it comes to a sport where he's an "expert", probably it's better that he doesn't share his "knowledge" on sports that he actually admits he has no clue about. PS. I see Kosikutioner has a problem with people speaking the truth about this pod and also doesn’t know the definition of literate. Sorry Kos, but a sports show should be balanced, not 80% focused around one team that hasn’t had a winning record in 5 years. We do not need more hockey talk, there’s already an obscene amount of it in the media. Toronto has 5 professional sports franchises alone, before you add in the NFL, golf majors, olympic sports, university athletics, tennis, international soccer tournaments etc. I’m not saying TFC should have equal time as TML but anything more than 50% of one sport is wrong. If you want just hockey, they have a lunch show for that, appropriately titled I might add. By that OTHER station, I assume you’re referring to the FAN590 and Bob McCown. I do listen to him and so do Toronto sports fans. He knows how to do radio well and that’s why he crushes Watters in the ratings. For anyone out of town who is browsing on iTunes, go listen to the Prime Time Sports pod to see good sports radio, especially when Brunt is co-hosting. Finally, the only way Watters could be considered an expert is when you compare him to the other hockey bozos on Sportsnet. In reality, he’s a failed ex-Leaf AGM with a personal axe to grind against the guys who canned him. BTW, I can’t wait for the newest 640 show: JFJ’s Sports After Dark. I hear it will be riveting. Maybe 640 can add JP as co-host once the Blue Jays wake up and fire him.
