ExplicitEND OF LINE 18: To The Face | To celebrate our 18th episode, we welcome special guest Tim Seppala with open hand slaps and a hearty "Shut up, Tim!". After a few E3 2011 predictions, we speculate on the nostalgia that this generation of videogames will leave in its wake. Will they be fondly remembered by those that cut their teeth on the 360/PS3/Wii generation, or simply fade into obscurity, crushed by a multitude of annualized IP's and stunted attention spans? Also: We relax and let the robot do all the work, teach Tim how operate music, and Carlos Espinosa. ExplicitEND OF LINE 17: They Had Gloves Back Then | Mitch, Derrek and Robin throw some heavy criticisms at the flawed yet peerless LA Noire, an adventure game that may or may not have met everyone's expectations. Be warned going in that nothing, and we mean nothing, goes unspoiled. If you don't want cases, twists, reveals and character details ruined for you, play the game and come back. As usual, Mitch complains a lot, Derrek cracks some jokes, and Robin rambles about technology in a way that can only be described as "edutaining." ExplicitEND OF LINE 16: Let's Bump Heels | "End Of Line" features quality filter-free discussions about whatever the hell Trevor, Mitch, and Derrek want. Usually they pretend to have high-brow discussions about game tapes, but it's mostly just profane rambling. Also, they are Canadian. Sorry. In this episode, our anticipation is high for "Mass Effect: Arrival", the final piece of Mass Effect 2 DLC before the release of Mass Effect 3. In addition to discussing Mass Effect 2 in its entirety, the End Of Line crew pose the question that begs to be asked: "How come Seth Green doesn't have a wheelchair?" Also: Space Hitler, "Welcome to Erf.", and "WIN COFFEE!". ExplicitSo Here's The Thing: Stories Are Boss | "So Here's The Thing" brings a more focused conversation to the table, featuring a group discussion stemming from a specific topic. These topics range from the conventional to the bizarre, but are always peppered with a touch of DWF unpredictability. Taylor Cocke and Mitch Dyer are joined by Robin Taylor to discuss videogames' atypical, odd, and mostly atrocious storytelling, as well as the boss fights that conclude them. They also yammer about the correct context for bosses, games' influence in film, and the Citizen Kane of video games. If you want to avoid spoilers for the following games, beware: Dead Space 2 Bulletstorm Heavy Rain Red Dead Redemption Enslaved BioShock BioShock 2 Uncharted 2 Send your questions, suggestions, or general abuse to: DownWriteFierce@Gmail.com On Twitter: Mitch – MitchyD Taylor – TaylorCocke Robin – Darvin111 Also please leave us a review and/or comment on iTunes. ExplicitThe Film Can: C*****rs And Pudding | Hosted by Robin Taylor, "The Film Can" is a podcast based on the premise that most movies are complete s**t, and therefore should be rated as such. For the premiere episode, Robin is joined by Mike O'Brien to review Rango, discuss super-hero movies, and collectively mourn the death of Charlie Sheen's career. Send your questions, suggestions, or general abuse to: DownWriteFierce@Gmail.com On Twitter: Robin – darvin111 Mike - "Twitter is scary." Also please leave us a review and/or comment on iTunes. ExplicitSexual Conquest Hour: The Plus Hand Side | "Sexual Conquest Hour" provides bite-sized excerpts of our sporadic, random, and foul Skype conversations. The topics are usually game related, and rarely sexually centric, but we make no guarantees. This time, Mitch and Derrek babble about buying (or not buying) 3DSs before spoiling Dead Space 2's DLC expansion, Severed, figuring out their feelings on Bulletstorm, and laughing at Killzone 3. You may also hear chatter about the principals of murdering zombabies, the kicking of everything, and witness the invention of the world's greatest idiom. Side note: More enjoyable than these morons' jibber-jabber is the music used for "The Plus Hand Side"'s intro/outro. We fell in love with The Glowing Stars, an 8-bit rock band featuring friend of everyone, Lizzie Cuevas. You can download "Got it Bad" and "I Know Now" here: http://theglowingstars.bandcamp.com/album/demo Send your questions, suggestions, or general abuse to: DownWriteFierce@Gmail.com On Twitter: Mitch – MitchyD Derrek – CuppuhT Also please leave us a review and/or comment on iTunes. ExplicitSo Here's The Thing: Immersion | "So Here's The Thing" brings a more focused conversation to the table, featuring a group discussion stemming from a specific topic. These topics range from the conventional to the bizarre, but are always peppered with a touch of DWF unpredictability. For the opening round of our newest podcast, we've got Mitch Dyer, Tim Seppala, and Taylor Cocke on the mic. Their conversation flourishes on the heels of this article (see below for link), penned by a game developer, who details his Dead Space 2 experience with specific references to immersion in videogames. The boys expand the discussion to include Amnesia, Lord Of The Rings, and games criticism. http://frictionalgames.blogspot.com/2011/02/thoughts-on-dead-space-2.html Send your questions, suggestions, or general abuse to: downwritefierce(at)gmail(dot)com On Twitter: Mitch - MitchyD Tim - TimSeppala Taylor - TaylorCocke Also please leave us a review and/or comment on iTunes. ExplicitSexual Conquest Hour: Sexual Conquests | "Sexual Conquest Hour" provides bite-sized excerpts of our sporadic, random, and foul Skype conversations. The topics are usually game related, but we make no guarantees. For the premiere edition of this fledgling podcast, two familiar voices (Mitch and Derrek) are joined by Taylor Cocke; gamz jarnalist, podcast namer, and Bourbon ice cream eatin’ hippie. The boys provide insight on the risqué topic of sexual conquests in gaming, specifically Mass Effect 1 and 2, GTA: San Andreas, Dragon Age, and…Jonathan Blow? Also, Dead Space: Extraction and cigars. ExplicitEND OF LINE 14: You're No Rich Little | For Episode 14 we attempt to dissect our favourite games from the past 12 months, but end up awarding the "Best Button Usage Of 2010", using "Derrek Lucas" as a verb, and discussing the finer points of rage quitting. Be forewarned, this episode is a complete babble-fest. ExplicitEND OF LINE 13: Unlicensed Massage | Episode 13 is a PAXtacular crossover; featuring Knuckles Dawson and Churches Wife of Gamers Rapport, Jake Reardon formerly of XBox Canada, and the dulcet tones of the End Of Line crew (Mitch, Derrek, and Trev). We take our analysis of the PAX experience to the absolute limits with discussions including, but not exclusive to: Hulk penis, sentient cameras, and octogenarian complainers. Also: Listen for the melodious snoring of Jason Young as we close out this double-length episode. ExplicitEND OF LINE 11: This Is What I Call RESEARCH | This week, Mitchell takes the editing reigns and provides us with a raucous, loose, and snorty episode. We attempt to cover all things Transformers: War For Cybertron, but end up talking about robot mustaches, robobabies, and *expletive deleted*. Also: You can't shower off pain. ExplicitEND OF LINE 10: They're Coming To Get You Barbara | Plain and simple, we love zombies. Tune in this week to hear us prattle on about irrelevant DLC, our detailed plans for the zombie apocalypse, and educating the youth of today about the importance of horticulture. Also: zombie bears. ExplicitEND OF LINE 8: BOAT | Going "Mitch-free" this week, Trevor and Derrek chat about HOW we play videogames. Fresh off the unveiling of two newcomers to the motion control era, we touch on the history of gaming peripherals and how companies tirelessly attempt to sculpt the perfect input device. Also, can you emerge victorious from a Trivial Pursuit game using only a steering wheel? We've received a few questions regarding where to find us on the Interwebs, and until we find a way to incorporate that information into the show without sounding douchey, you can send your questions, suggestions, or general abuse to: endoflinepodcast(at)gmail(dot)com On Twitter: Trev - teedub78 Mitch - MitchyD Derrek - CuppuhT Also feel free to leave us a review and/or comment on iTunes. hilarious
Wow! Stumbled across this by accident, super funny! Great job guys, can't wait to hear more!
A lite, bite sized Podcast
This podcast is better than the cucumber in my a**s.
Loved it!
Nice podcast guys. Very entertaining. Could do with a little less editing to make it sound a little more natural IMO and I agree with the other review that you need to give out your websites and Twitter addresses so people can follow you.
Looking forward to the next one! :)
