#147 - June 15th, 2015 [Nym, Chinese Man, DJ Shadow, Beirut, Husker Du...]
Nym's still getting played all up in this piece, then we hear newish Chinese Man, Pasobionic and DJ Shadow. Brand new, like, so new its still warm Beirut opens the 2nd half, DJ Shadow gets remixed and we hear new Gucci Ghost (Trouble Andrew). We get all reminiscent with Agent Orange and Husker Du, then Secede wraps it up all nicely for this week.

Back once again with the ill behavior.
It’s freakin’ summer and there’s no better summer anthem than 2Pac praising California. DJ Shadow cuts himself up before The Papes Come, Z-Trip remixes the Jackson 5 (with subtlety and class) and we drop classic summertime RJD2. The Herbaliser brings the heat with a storming live one and the Propellerheads do their best James Bond movie score climaxing with a ripping bassline. MARRS and Dee-Lite get us shaking our booty before we have a flashback to Summer Love ’98 from Fatboy Slim.
The lord giveth and the lord taketh away, but not hiphop yo. -

Discovering new beats this week. Show starts with Nym, Hugo Kant and Emancipator. Eek-a-Mouse, Roger Molis then DJ Vadim carries us into Doctor FLAKE, Kognitif and a nice one from Tommy Guerrero. We go back in time to a 1929 recording of Blind Willie Johnson, then Dextro closes out the show for this week.

Graffiti artist and hip hop producer Pasobionic starts the show this week with a couple of tracks from Empty Beats For Lonely Rappers. Robot Koch released his new Tsuki EP, and we a nice one from it. UK's Kahn and V.I.V.E.K both drop some bass then we hear a nice one from Lifeformed. We chill with a couple from Northcape's newest EP then hear from Aebeloe, Melorman, and Michael Bijker. Berlin's Youandewan close out the show this week with 1988 from the Anjou EP.

Awesome music every week!
This is a good show clearly inspired by the Solid Steel tradition created by Coldcut. The selections are varied and never defined by a genre, running from hip hop to minimal techno to dub all in the course of an hour. Some of the mixes are real tight. These guys clearly love music.
