Facing Death: Interview with Paul Ellis | In May 2009, Photofusion exhibited one hundred ID portraits taken at S-21, a secret torture and interrogation prison in Phnom Penh, during the Khmer Rouge's four-year reign of genocide in Cambodia. It is estimated that some 2 million Cambodians, a quarter of the population, died at the hands of the regime who were led by Brother Number 1, the infamous Pol Pot.
