To go directly to the AdobeRGB version, click here, then drag it to your desktop (or right click and choose Save As). The PhotoDisc image available here is another popular full-page color test image. An article to help match your monitor to your lab’s output (it includes a link to a 4×6 file to send to your lab). Lighting: Solux Task Lamp: If you have MR-16 type spotlight fixtures, I recommend the 50 Watt 4700K/36 degree bulb to light your reference prints while looking at your calibrated and profiled screen, and the 50Watt/3500K/17 degree (more focused, a.k.a. spot) or 36 degree bulbs (more wide) for simulating the look of lighting typically used in galleries. You can find them directly from Solux at the link below: Solux 50 watt, 4700K/36 Degrees BB, . They also sell a fixture for their bulbs here. Another option (not as accurate as Solux bulbs, but much better than what most people use). This is a good jewelers lamp for $50 (you can often find them used as well). http://www.nationaljewelerssupplies.com/p/SK2272.html . You can then replace the bulbs that ship with it if you want better lighting for proofing. 2 Sylvania Design 50 F15/T8 bulb will fit in that lamp and will cost about $10 ea. | 34 | VideoCirque du Soleil “Love” Review and Photo-Audio Backstage Tour | To say that Cirque Du Soleil’s “Love” at the Las Vegas Mirage Hotel was a work of passion would be an easy copout. However, this past week George Starcher and I were given the opportunity to get free tickets to see “Love” and experience the Beatles music in a way that must be seen to be believed. Yes, the show was fantastic; yes, you should make a point of going next time you are in Las Vegas. Those are easy things to say after experienceing the show and the music. The highlight for George and I was the backstage tour we recorded. In this photo and audio motage recorded backstage, you will meet Ben Stephenson, the Assistant Head Carpenter for the show; and Gavin Whitely, the Audio Production Chair for “Love.” These two guys were filled with knowledge and a passion for their work and the music that leaps into the camera and microphone. We were most impressed with how what we saw backstage, translated into a polished production that is more about the music than just the entertainment. Thanks to the folks at Cirque du Soleil for a chance to see this show from the inside out. We hope you enjoy this video as much as George and I did. The music you hear is NOT the Beatles it’s a cover band | 10/22/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

Typical Shutterbug
Victor is doing an awesome job with this podcast. Information is right on for my skill level in photography.
Great mix of different subjects. Nice to hear from someone who is learning and improving his photography.
Very good podcast
The podcast is really very good. Victor has a knack for doing a very effective interview. His interviews have all been very relaxed and are full of good information. I especially loved his talk with Michael Freeman. Together, they got to the heart of what it takes to create a good composition. I listened to that podcast, and I was hooked. Keep up the good work, Victor. I will be looking forward to your podcasts in the future.
Great podcast
Lots of great and USEFUL information on this podcast. Well done, and thank you.
