When he was recording his debut album in 2006, Chris Daughtry didn't have the time to assemble the real rock band he clearly wanted, so it appeared under the band name DAUGHTRY without featuring any of the musicians who later became part of the group. That's not the case with Leave This Town: all five members appear on the album cover, serving as visual evidence that DAUGHTRY is a band, not a person. Such reminders may be necessary because Leave This Town doesn't differ much in feel or form from DAUGHTRY. Daughtry and his band have no desire to make anything other than good, basic, black-and-white modern rock and they do so efficiently on Leave This Town, a sophomore album that's every bit as satisfying as the first.

Wieder ein ganz gelungenes Album von Daughtry. Chris Daughtry hat eine tolle Stimme und die Band ist sich treu geblieben, rockig, gefühlvoll, zum immer wieder hören. Ganz an das Erstlingsalbum kommt dieses nicht ran, für mich aber unbedingt fünf Sterne wert und Daugthry Fans werden nicht dran vorbeikommen, kaufen!!

L’attente n’aura pas été inutile... Le nouveau Daughtry, «Leave this town» est simplement une bombe. Le grand talent de composition de Chris Daughtry se confirme une nouvelle fois, nous délivrant des titres tels que «Open up your Eyes», «Tennessee Line» ou «Call your Name» en feu d’artifice final. Très cohérent et fidèles à leur style tout au long du CD, Daughtry s’affirme comme LE groupe de rock actuel à suivre absolument. Le tout porté par la voix puissante et spectaculaire de Chris, sans aucun doute la meilleure voix rock «born in the USA». Du très bon, du lourd!
