Sonnenvakuum - Phonotonie Re-Mastered

     

Daniel Müller was born 1969 in Switzerland. Growing up in the middle of the Electro and Break Dance Area he quickly felt in love with the synthetic sounds used in this genre. In the late 80’s Daniel played in several EBM and Industrial projects where he programmed the sequencer parts. Later he joined a punk rock band to play bass then toured trough Europe for around 5 years.

In 1993 Daniel and some of his close friends discovered the first few electronic music releases with this kind of „bouncing“ beat and “spacey“ atmospheres. Long before the name „psychedelic trance“ was created. By 1998 the time had come to start producing their own music in this direction and released their first track „R.I.P.“ on Boom records Netherlands, which was a big success on the dance floors worldwide.

In 1999 Daniel met Ueli the Drummer who had the same musical background like him and they collaborated to produce their first album „Sternenstaub X02“ ready to be released on their own small record Label „C-P-C“. This was not long before Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails personally requested one of their second album’s „Allbient“. By the Time the 3rd Album „Phonotonie“ appeared on Germans Cult Label Liquid Audio / Novatekk in 2001 , Sonnenvakuum were already well and truly established in the international psytrance scene.

Sonnenvakuum made themselves a name as „a live-act who rocks the dancefloor“. They proofed this around the world in countrys like : Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Netherland, Australia, Brasil and Japan.

Exactly 10 Years after the original release of "Phonotonie", they decided to re-release the 2001 Album, as it was no longer available anywhere.
The tracks have slightly been re-mastered to meet the sound standards of 2011, but without overhyping it and loosing the "bonedry" feeling of the original recordings.
