Albenrezension
This self-titled effort is Culcha Candela’s third studio album. Fueled by singles like the party anthem “Ey DJ” plus the swaggering and sexy “Hamma!,” the album was a breakthrough for this German crew, climbing all the way to number six on the German album charts. Dancehall is still the base, but hip-hop plays a more important role when this 2007 release is compared to the group’s first two efforts.

Enttäuschung für alte Fans
Culcha Candela hat - leider - eindeutig umgeschwenkt auf eine andere Zielgruppe. Mit dem Singleaufreiser Hamma! Versuchen sie in meinen Augen ganz klar mehr Fans zu bekommen was ihnen ja auch gelingt wenn man mal so durch die Radiostationen durchhört. Ich finde es schade das jetzt bald wieder jedes dahergelaufenes Kiddi ankommt und meint "Ich hör schon ewig Culcha" aber noch nie was von den wirklich guten alten Alben NextGeneration und Union Verdadera gehört hat. Das war für mich noch Culchastyle. Das jetzige ist gut aber für mich eine komplett andere Band die so in der Form nicht unbedingt noch zu den Favoriten meiner Playlist zählt.

was soll ich dazu sagen ausser das dass album einfach total enttäuschend ist mehr nicht!!!! kein vergleich zu den vorgängern!!! super schade für dir leutz die auf das album gewartet haben!!!

Ich würde mal sagen dieses Album ist einfach H-a-doppel-m-e-r Hammer YEAH ;) Für Fans ein absolutes MUSS!!!
