After their indie rock debut Pöbelei & Poesie, Auletta somewhat remodeled their sound on second album Make Love Work, reducing the guitars and, thanks to the addition of keyboarder Chris Stiller, to the lineup, introducing more synths and sound embellishments. Only the single "Sommerdiebe" recalls the style of their first album. Elsewhere, the group takes a number of stylistic turns, such as the hip-hop of "Hey Mama," the fuzz guitars on "Feuer," or the reverb-heavy piano on the ballad "Lass Die Guten Zeiten Rollen," and incorporates these elements into an upbeat pop sound.
