some sound great, some sound sensational!
A must have for Bond fans and Bond Girl fans – and a tease for the international cocktail society, this production of German (!) origin lives up to her majesty's standards. A bunch of jazzheads and smooth singers created this cool selection of recent Bond songs plus two inevitable classics, namely the Bond Theme itself and "Goldfinger" - the latter unfortunately being among the weakest of eleven interpretations. Yet the collection of covers and careful re-arrangements by all means deserves a five star rating, if only for Pat Appleton's "view to a kill" and Katia B's "Die Another Day". "License To Kill" is another perennial favorite. Cassandra Steen delivers a soulful rendition of this tune, and she also puts the sparkle back into "The Living Daylights". If neither gives you goose bumps, you have probably been shot by one of Ernst Stavro Blofeld's evil henchmen...
