Rebell Ohne Grund is German rapper Prinz Pi's 11th solo album, and as on his previous records, most of the music is produced by his frequent collaborator Biztram, who employs a wide range of different sounds including acoustic and electric guitars, organ, saxophone, and chiptune-based electronic flourishes. Pi himself sees Rebell Ohne Grund as his most personal record, and his songs include political commentary ("Drei Kreuze für Deutschland"), cultural observations ("Generation Porno"), several relationship stories ("Eifer & Sucht"), and a battle rap spoof ("Der Neue iGod"). The album, which features guest appearances by Frauenarzt and Raf Camora, among others, reached number nine in the German album charts, making it the rapper's most successful record to date.

So früh schon das Album des Jahres?!?

Habe mir die Platte gleich morgens um halb fünf geladen und mir im Zug reingezogen.

Jedes Lied ist ein Meisterwerk. Es ist selten, dass ich wirklich alle jeder auf einem Album gut finde.

Die Texte sind wie immer Pinomenal. Die Beats sind harmonisch.

Pi hat es geschaff, ein neues Level zu erreichen und die Messlatte für alles nachfolgende fast schon unerreichbar hoch gesetzt.

Ein absolutes Muss, sich die Scheibe zu kaufen.

Das mal nen richtig gutes Album Pi macht endlich wieder bessere Musik! kein Gangster Rap und Mainstream zeugs sondern richtig gute Musik

Born Friedrich Kautz on October 23, 1979, in Berlin, Prinz Pi went by a number of different names in the German hip-hop scene, such as Doc Murdock, Doc Mabuse, Slick Spingo and Prince Porn One, before settling on the name that wouldn't lead reviewers to think he was peddling pornographic rap. His first CD — with the group Die Beatfabrik (or Beat Factory) emerged in 2000, entitled Wort Shots.
