Instructive and at the same time relaxing …
… This is how I can best describe Levy's take on introducing the listener to some of the Ancient Greek Modes. Dorian, Hypolydian, Hypodorian, Lydian, Hypophrygian, Mixolydian, and Phrygian they are called, and I remember my music classes in college and I wished the instructor had had a practical musical talent comparable to that of Levy. Just like in his other works he invites us to a colorful musical landscape, made accessible by his puristic style: just the strings of his lyra instrument and a gentle reverb effect. Great work.
