On This Is War, 30 Seconds to Mars shift their music with the shifting times, adopting a hybrid of the Killers’ retro new wave and My Chemical Romance’s gothic prog, winding up with a sound that suits their stance. Producers Steve Lillywhite and Flood, both veterans of U2, do give This Is War an appropriately epic scale, helping to bring into focus this mix of synth rock, metal, and prog flavors with Auto-Tuned vocals, gurgling synthesized loops, Kanye cameos, and a children's choir on almost every other song. This move toward goth-glam requires 30 Seconds to emphasize hooks and gives them aural variety, which makes this their most appealing album.

Endlich!!!
Es ist soweit und es hat sich gelohnt die scheibe ist wieder ein sehr gutes Stück!Die ersten beiden Alben waren schon sehr stark und diese kann voll und ganz mithalten!Natürlich nur für den der es mag!Ich für meinen teil liebe es!Holt sie euch ihr werdet es nicht bereuen!
Klasse, ein der stärksten Alben!
Nach der Veröffentlich von der Single "Kings & Queens" hab ich nicht daran geglaubt, dass das Album diese Single toppen kann. Dies ist aber passiert. Ich höre leidenschaftlich gerne 30 Seconds to Mars aber auch andere Musikrichtungen und muss sagen, das ist das erste Album von 30 Seconds to Mars wo mir 90% der Lieder gefallen. Bei den "alten" Alben gefielen mir nur einige Songs. Aber bei diesem Album ist es wirklich der Fall, dass jedes lied irgendetwas hat, dass es man sich wunderbar anhören kann! Echt klasse! Schönes Album, freue mich auf das Konzert im März in Berlin :D
