Albenrezension
A candidate for the 2009 Polaris Music Prize, Three was recorded and produced entirely by Joel Plaskett, which makes it the songwriter's third solo album. Additionally, the album consists of three discs, each of which consists of nine tracks. Despite the newfound emphasis on numbers, Plaskett filled Three with his familiar blend of folk and rock, resulting in a strong record that took home the Juno Award for "adult alternative album" in 2010.

Joel Plaskett is a Canadian singer, songwriter and musician whose music fuses the energetic melodies and hooks of power pop with the muscular strength of hard rock; as he once quipped, his music "combines the best of Big Star and Led Zeppelin." Born in Nova Scotia on April 18, 1975, Plaskett was raised in Halifax and he began making music in his early teens.
