Air Video comes packed with features. It can share folders on your harddrive as well as iTunes playlists. It supports live conversion and offline conversion where the entire file is converted upfront. It lets you customize the conversion settings, zoom and crop the video.
* Air Video works over local network and over internet (including 3G). However to enjoy streaming over internet your router must support UPnP or NAT-PMP protocols so that Air Video can setup the port forwarding for you. Otherwise you will need to configure the port forwarding manually.
* Air Video will not play DRM protected videos. All video content purchased through iTunes includes DRM. Video podcast content is free and does not include DRM protection.
* Seeking requires firmware version 3.1 or newer.
The free server software (available for Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard and Microsoft Windows) is needed to stream and convert the videos and can be downloaded at http://airvideoapp.com .

Funktioniert nicht über 3G
Sorry, kann nur 1 Stern vergeben.
App funktioniert bei mir nur über WLAN.
Über 3G bekomme ich immer die Meldung, das mein Server offline sei, obwohl er auf meinem Pc als online angezeigt wird.
Habe alles probiert, Einstellungen am Router vorgenommen, Firewall Ports angegeben,sogar Firewall ausgeschaltet, jedoch bekomme ich keine Verbindung hin.
Schade auch das die Support Seite im Web nur auf Englisch ist.
Daher kann ich nur einen Stern vergeben.
Ich hoffe, das das Problem bald mal behoben wird.
Hoffe das die Verbindung mal was weniger kompliziert ablaufen kann...
Denn beispielsweise funktioniert die TeamViewer App. Bei mir tadellos..

Works perfectly with the following configuration here: MBA with HDDs runs the Air Video server -> streams to any IOS devices (iPad 2, iPhone 4s) -> From the IOS device I forward the stream (via Air Play) to my Apple TV (MK II). I use this app every day. It's absolutely stable here.

Es gibt einfach nichts besseres. Aber alles kann noch besser werden.
