* Select from 6 different colored lens filters to enhance certain colors and shades in a photo.
* Adjust the brightness and contrast of the image.
* Choose from border options of none,white or black.
* Add simulated film grain.
* Add black or white vignetting.
* Preserve EXIF data(requires iOS 4.1 or later).
* Outputs images up to 3264x3264 as well as a slight border (if desired).

Given the overabundance of black and white converters in the App Store, Simply B&W can easily go unnoticed. As a matter of fact, although I am mostly devoted to black and white photography, I had overlooked this app myself. However, as far as the value of Simply B&W is concerned, I am quite sure iPhone black and white enthusiasts will enjoy this app quite a bit.

Simply B&W is definitely a simple to use app that is very capable of producing some really nice black and white images, either directly from the camera itself, or existing photos. Whilst it doesn't offer the features found in some of the more advanced black and white apps, what it does offer, it does well.

Die beste Schwarzweiß App - besser als Vint B&W

Die App macht für meinen Geschmack eindeutig die besten Black and white Ergebnisse.
Keine flauen Ergebnisse wie bei vielen anderen Filtern, sondern schönes schwarz bei gleichzeitiger Abstufung der Zwischentöne.
Die Photos sind vergleichbar mit Vint B&W. Wie dort sind die Kamerafunktionen auf die Standards beschränkt, die Apple in iOS ausliefert.
Hier nur ergänzt durch die Möglichkeit zusätzlich zum SW Bild auch ein Farbbild mitzuspeichern.
Der große Vorteil bei Simply B&W ist, dass Fotos aus der Camera Roll nachträglich umgewandelt werden können. Eine Funktion, die wohl in Vint B&W nie mehr kommen wird (letzter Update ist dort von 2009!). Zusätzlich können durch Farbfilter, Helligkeit, Kontrast, Vignettierung, Film-Körnung, Rahmen alle Möglichkeiten ausgeschöpft werden, die man in der Schwarzweiß-Fotographie benötigt.
Simply B&W hat meine lange Haß-Liebe mit Vint B&W endlich beenden können. Danke an die Entwickler.
Einstelltyp für "Vint B&W Effekt": kein Fabfilter, Kontrast von Default auf Mittelstellung erhöhen, Vignettierung schwarz mit geringster Einstellung ganz links, Grain mit geringster Einstellung ganz links.
