Biografie
Istanbul, Turkey, native Onur Özer, a techno DJ and producer, was a major contributor to the Berlin-based Vakant label's early success. He turned in intricate but not overly fussy tracks like "Twilight," balancing dancefloor functionality with an intense detail to sound design that rewarded the mind and feet with repeated plays. Partnered with labelmate Mathias Kaden, Özer mixed Momentum (2006), a summary of Vakant's stunning initial run of releases; the following year, he released the label's first single-artist full-length with Kasmir. Watergate 01, a solo mix album for Berlin's Watergate club, was issued in 2008.
