Album of the year
A quiet masterpiece of song writing. Amy makes songs about things that matters with lyrics poised with feelings. Musically the sounds is very fresh and 'alive', almost accoustic. A brilliant album in the rare genre, where you actually want to listen to all the songs and not just a few of them.

Okay. Kendte ikke for alvor Amy MacDonald før jeg hørte This Is the Life. Og blev nød til at høre flere af hendes sange. Albumet er fantastisk! Især This Is the Life, Mr Rock and Roll, Youth of Today fortjener at bleve nævnt.

Amy MacDonald is a Scottish singer/songwriter who, at the age of 20, began topping the European charts with her Celtic-tinged folk music. Born on August 25, 1987, she studied social sciences while attending university and, like many teenagers, spent her days dreaming of pilgrimages to music festivals like T in the Park.
