Brilliant work of pop music

This is without doubt the best album Pet Shop Boys have released since "Very". Perfectly manufactured well-written pop music as only Tennant/Lowe can deliver. "Yes" is simply a brilliant collection of electronic, expressive, intelligent pop songs, most of which you can dance to.

Perfect!

No doubt - this is a great PSB-record. There are in my opinion just a few misses on the album - "Legacy" is for instant not my favourite. But the boys have made a perfect pop-album and if you like pop you will enjoy "Yes". The up-tempo songs has good melodies with the electronic sound you know from PSB. And you must not forget the lyrics - it will make you laugh, think and maybe cry. The ballads are beautiful - and almost the most impotent thing; Neil Tennant and his voice is fantastic and with the great PSB-sound it makes a fantastic album you will have to own.

Their best ever?

Equal measures pop and art, in the best meaning of both, this is their best since "Very", or "Actually". Once you've hummed "Yes"'s rare string of hit singles, "Love etc.", "All Over the World", "Did You See Me Coming?", and "Pandemonium", it's time to sink your teeth into the orchestrally beautiful and haunting "King of Rome" and "Legacy", and the hypnotic "The Way It Used To Be". A must-have for anyone who's even remotely interested in the Boys.
