Catalan sci-fi pop combo Antónia Font return with their first album of original material in five years. Lamparetes refines their search for exquisite, absurdist pop, with influences of both Björk and Radiohead. The first single, the tender yet elegiac "Clint Eastwood," for instance, imagines the movie icon in his kitchen cooking a meal, old, alone, and abandoned after a life of reckless adventure. Alternatively ironic, buoyant, or melancholic — and always intriguing.
