Produced by electronic musician Carlos Jean, Miss Sanchez is the first studio album in five years from Spanish pop vocalist Marta Sanchez. The 2007 follow-up to Soy Yo includes the singles "Levantate" (co-written with husband Jesus Cabañas), "Desafinados" and the Depeche Mode-sampling "Superstar," alongside tributes to her daughter ("Tienes Que Vivir: A Mi Hija Paula") and Mexican painter Frida Kahlo ("Frida y Sus Flores") and collaborations with Alaska ("Si Me Cambian Los Recuerdos") and Tino Casal on a reworking of his hit "Embrujada." ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi

Spanish dance-pop star Marta Sánchez first attained success as the lead vocalist for Olé Olé in the mid-'80s before embarking on an enormously successful solo career in the early '90s. She had originally replaced Vicky Larraz in Olé Olé and helped the band score its first big hit, "Lili Marlen," in 1986.
