iPrompts® XL is an iPad-specific version of the leading visual support app, iPrompts®. iPrompts® XL has been visually optimized to take advantage of the iPad’s larger screen. Now you can use iPrompts on the iPad to create and present large visual supports, including picture schedules, visual timers and choices!

* PICTURE SCHEDULES: Allows caregivers to create and present sequences of pictures, guiding those they care for through activities of any sort. Creation and editing occurs in portrait orientation. The iPad’s landscape screens may then be used to present visual supports – for example, the images in each Schedule expand for presentation when the iPad is rotated horizontally. Schedules can have many pictures, or even just two (i.e., to create a FIRST THIS, THEN THAT picture prompt). Captions can be edited for each image, allowing users to create simple SOCIAL NARRATIVES.
* VISUAL COUNTDOWN TIMER: This feature displays an image of the caregiver’s choice along with a graphical countdown timer (set to any duration), and is useful for demonstrating how much time is left until a current activity ends, or before the next pictured activity begins.
* CHOICE PROMPTS: Lets caregivers offer choices between images, empowering those who cannot vocalize their preferences. When rotated into landscape display, the Choices feature enlarges and orients images for display to individuals needing visual support.
* IMAGE LIBRARY: Our “starter” library includes hundreds of useful illustrations and digital pictures across many categories. Additional categories and pictures may be supplied by users. The Library search option may be used to search both “local” results and images from the Web, which may then be saved permanently. Users may also duplicate or delete images, edit their captions, and add their own digital pictures (e.g., “on the fly” using built-in device cameras).
iPrompts® is a portable, flexible, easy-to-use, and stigma-free alternative to physical pictures, and is especially helpful in reducing the frustrations of everyday life when traveling or on the go. Parents and professionals love the time it saves compared to various other tools (like CD-ROM packages) requiring tedious printing, cutting and lamination. Therapists and special educators can store multiple schedules and social narratives for entire caseloads of different patients or students.
