Kimberly Englot and The Happiness Movement - Feel Good Now! - Jan 10,2011 | Kimberly Englot is the founder of The Center for Authentic Self Development and facilitator of The Happiness Movement! 2010 was hard on lots of people. She noticed this in her life (“What the heck am I doing! Do I even want this? What is the next step in my business and my life?”), in the life of her clients and even with some of her mentors. For the last 12 months she has seen: > Frustrated women in business, “Why is everyone but me signing up a new client every other day?” > Scared women, “I live in fear that my husband will lose his job. We’re already on the edge of losing everything.” > Tired women, “I’m so afraid to make a mistake. What will people think? I drive myself crazy doing stuff I don’t care about to keep others’ from thinking I’m a failure? Why do I care so much?” And she decided to do something about it. Enough IS Enough! So she decided to start an international Happiness Movement. Kimberly is dedicating her entire year to supporting women who want to be happy! In a variety of programs, coaching and free stuff she will teach you to be happy NOW. | 10/1/11 | Gratuit | Afficher sur iTunes |

Loren Golden, Creator of FRANCHI$IT - Jan 04,2011 | Join Janet Powers, Diva Toolbox, as she talks with Loren Golden about FRANCHI$IT, currently a board game based on franchising, which started out as a college project during her days as a marketing major at Rowan University in New Jersey. Loren Golden, Creator & Chief Marketing Officer, created FRANCHI$IT. The original FRANCHI$IT game was a mock-up with fantasy franchises such as “Happy Hamburger” and “The Gracious Inn,” but her plan was to replace the fantasy franchises with actual real-life stores. She approached over 300 of the top franchises in the country with her idea over many years on her lunch break. Golden earned a trademark for FRANCHI$IT and contractual agreements with major US franchise organizations, each allowing Golden to feature the organization’s logo free of charge on her board game in exchange for the exposure – a first for the toy industry and franchise industry. The company manufactured 20K games and launched on Black Friday with rave reviews. FRANCHI$IT is a family/adult board game for ages 10 and up (2-6 players) which features the recognized logos and trademarks of 12 national franchise chains such as 7-Eleven, Great Clips and Subway. The object of the game is to build the highest net worth by aquiring franchise units and collecting profits and receiving (or paying) royalties depending on ownership control of the franchise. Any player owning more units of the same franchise than another player will receive royalty payments from that player. Each player starts with $150K in FRANCHI$IT money and must strategically purchase franchises as they move around the board by advancing their game piece by rolling the dice. Personality Poker with Stephen Shapiro - Dec 21,2010 | Janet Powers, Diva Toolbox, will be taking with Stephen Shapiro, about "Personality Poker, Why the Person You Like Least May Be the Person You Need the Most". Look at any group who works effortlessly together. Odds are the individuals share a lot in common. They might have similar backgrounds, expertise, interests, or personalities. Contrary to conventional wisdom, opposites do NOT attract. We find it easier to work with people who are like us. As a result, teams that lack diversity are the norm. Why is this a problem? Research shows that in situations involving “high difficulty” tasks, heterogeneous groups consistently perform best. Innovation is, by its very nature, fraught with uncertainty and complexity. Although homogeneous teams may work more harmoniously, it is the uniformity of thinking that limits breakthrough ideas and reduces innovation. Ensuring a range of innovation styles within any team is critical to maximizing performance. Unfortunately, diverse teams, left to their own devices, are rarely efficient. Personality Poker was created to shows organizations how to: 1. “Play to your strong suit.” Ensuring that you and everyone on your team understands how they contribute to and detract from the innovation process. 2. “Play with a full deck.” Embrace a wide range of innovation styles. Instead of hiring on competency and chemistry, hire for a diversity of innovation styles. 3. “Deal out the work.” Divide and conquer. You can’t have everyone in your organization do everything. Instead, get them to divvy up the work based on which style is most effective at a given task. Innovation is the life-blood of an organization and people are at the heart of it. Personality Poker engages individuals in a way that ensures high performance teamwork and innovation within any organization. To Be Or Not To Be ~ The Choice Is Yours with Barbara Hofmeister - Nov 02,2010 | Barbara Hofmeister is an internationally renowned speaker, author and expert on the topic of human growth. In the last 2 years alone she spoke to over 15.000 people helping them to get their dreams back and the courage to make them come true. “TO BE OR NOT TO BE – THE CHOICE IS YOURS!” Today, Janet Powers is going to talk with Barbara about her book, "To Be Book." If you feel like you’re just treading water through your life right now you’re not alone. Most people at one time or another feel the same way. The mediocrity, the fatigue, the lack of drive or passion is a slippery slope, and before you know it you find yourself wallowing in apathy, lying on your sofa watching TV and wondering how you got to this point. Here’s a truth for you: In life you’re either moving ahead or moving back. And if you feel stuck, frustrated and in a life of someone else’s making, you’re probably going in the wrong direction. Time is our greatest enemy. Once gone, you cannot get it back – no matter what you do. One day you “wake up” and you are 40, 50, or even 60 years old and wonder what happened to all those great dreams you once had. And that’s why you might catch yourself saying… Where did my life go??? "One Woman Makes It Her Mission to Get Desserts to the Desert for US Troops" ~ Debora George - Oct 19,2010 | Debora George Tsakoumakis (Sa koo Ma kiss) is a hard working mother of three who started a telecake nationwide cake delivery service, HB Bakery Connection in April 1987. Necessary Roughness with Mimi Donaldson - Oct 05,2010 | Every day, over and over again, in relationships and in the workplace, we make choices. How much risk do we take? Gilli Moon, Hollywood based Australian artist, will join us this week as our special guest! - Jul 09,2010 | gilli moon is a Hollywood based Australian artist, who delivers conscious music, art and a brave sense of self-expression in her energetic, sensual and expressive performances and recordings. gilli (pronounced as with a "J") is an illustrious poly-media artist, with multifaceted albums and dynamic live shows that have touched music lovers worldwide garnering high praise from the most jaded of critics. She is the quintessential renaissance woman, with a ceaseless contribution to the creative and artist communities at large. She creates music that is fresh, rebellious, passionate and unique. ITunes has been unable to classify her. She stands alone. Her restless creativity and rebellious nature continually urge the artist to push the envelope when writing a song, recording in the studio, on stage, painting a canvas, or with whatever she touches. Born in Milano Italy, and raised in Australia, gilli moon was brought up in a pioneering lifestyle on an isolated mountain property on the edge of wilderness. Her artistry is inspired by the isolating “Aussie bush" living a self-sufficient, alternative and pioneering life in a home built by her parents from the trees and stone on their land, solar power and natural resources. Now living in Los Angeles, CA for the last 10 years, Gilli is forging an independent path before anyone knew what "indie" was. Through her own record label, Warrior Girl Music, gilli took on the music industry on her own terms and successfully produced and released 6 studio music albums, to critical acclaim, launched several artists' careers, placed an abundance of songs in film, TV and with other artists, and has performed around the world many times over. She has traversed the "wilderness" of the Indie world, where only the brave dare to go, and has conquered with unparalleled drive. ww.gilli.net/wgm/mediablitz-gm.htm | 9/7/10 | Gratuit | Afficher sur iTunes |

Becoming literate is not easy for many children and it certainly isn't 'fun' until they feel successful. My mission is to "catch them all" by providing educational workshops, literacy events, and useful materials for teachers and parents around the world. When we get children on the right track to literacy independence, we save them from a lifetime of frustration, low self-esteem, and hardship. Across the Kitchen Table with Deb Schneider - Apr 20,2010 | Deborah Ellen Schneider's story is one of Survival, Hope and Renewal. These three words sum up her life and the lessons she offers people suffering from disability, depression and trauma. In 1995, Deborah was rear-ended by a truck and sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI) so severe that within hours she was functioning like a five-year-old child. She endured chronic pain, post traumatic stress syndrome, and haunting childhood memories of suffering and depression. She also faced breast cancer, divorce and single parenthood. It took her eight years to rebuild her life, not the one she had before, but a new one that celebrates new beginnings. Deborah, the mother of four boys, is now happily remarried. She received her BA in English from Muhlenberg College. She is a former high school English teacher, corporate trainer at J.P. Morgan Bank, and the North American head of Human Resources and Administration for Sumitomo Bank, Ltd., which at the time was the second largest bank in the world. She was an accomplished equestrian with plans to open a riding academy for the disabled. She also wanted to write a book, until one day a car ride changed everything. Years later, however, Deborah achieved her dream. Wind Dancing: the Gift of Healing Traumatic Brain Injury is her inspirational memoir. Deborah reinvented her life. As a Coordinator for the Brain Injury Association of New York State (BIANYS) she is the advocate for TBI survivors and their families on Long Island. She has resumed her equestrian activities, and she is the founder of Wind Dancing New Beginnings, Inc., an organization formed to provide consulting services in the area of lifestyle wellness. Meet Heidi DeCoux on Across the Kitchen Table with Janet Powers - Mar 16,2010 | It is said that "the best job is one that you would do even if you didn't need the money".* While organizing for a client, I often think, if I didn't need the money, I would do this for free. Organizing is not so much about organizing things as it is about seeing the transformation of people. If you are not currently organized, imagine being organized: You are empowered within the context of a home that works, and you are free to live a life you love and spend more time with the people you love. I have made it my job to offer power and freedom to others through organization. After organizing and decluttering, my clients later tell me that they are energized. Many report losing weight. There is a connection between clutter and body weight. If you wish to learn more, Peter Walsh, the master of organization, has written a book called "Does This Clutter Make My Butt Look Fat." His philosophy is brilliant and right on target, in my opinion. My philosophy is to free others from the constraints that are within our control. "The connection between clutter and weight didn't occur to me overnight. About a year ago I published my book It's All Too Much: An Easy Plan for Living a Richer Life with Less Stuff. - an Excerpt from Peter's book "Does This Clutter Make My Butt Look Fat?" Soon after the book was released I began hearing from people who'd used it to get rid of the clutter in their homes and lives. In these letters I discovered an unexpected side effect. The link that I had suspected but only dimly glimpsed became obvious through the experiences of my readers. I was inundated with real examples of the impact clutter had on all areas of one's life - especially weight." | 16/3/10 | Gratuit | Afficher sur iTunes |

Ms. Sheryl WuDunn joins us to talk about Half The Sky and CARE - Mar 02,2010 | This week we celebrate Ms. Sheryl WuDunn as our Dynamic Diva. This acclaimed author and human rights activist has been chronicling economic, political, and social conditions in the developing world for 20 years. With a background in both business and public policy, Ms. WuDunn has spent much of her career at The New York Times, moving seamlessly from international correspondent in the Beijing and Tokyo bureaus, to project manager in strategic planning at the corporate level, to anchor of the NYT's "Page One" nightly broadcast. Collaborating with her husband Nicholas Kristof, WuDunn was the first Asian-American to win a Pulitzer Prize, awarded for their coverage of China's Tiananmen Square protests. Since then, they have co-written two influential books on the Far East as well as the current bestseller Half the Sky, describing how women entrepreneurs are transforming societies around the world. In 2009 WuDunn and Kristof received the Dayton Literary Peace Prize's Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of their work to promote peace through the written word. Ms. WuDunn could have ignored the suffering and injustice she saw as she traveled the world with her husband, Nicholas Kristof. But she didn't, her journey inspired them to write Half The Sky, From Oppression to Opportunity for Women Worldwide, about women in the developing world. Half The Sky tells the stories of women who have suffered from their culture's attitudes toward women. It also describes the stories of inspiring women entrepreneurs who are solving problems and changing the environment around them. Join CARE at the theater on March 4, 2010 and stand up beside Ms. WuDunn in support of human rights for all! Across the kitchen table with Janet Powers and Omar Periu - Feb 24,2010 | Omar Periu will be sharing a powerful how-to goal setting program that can change your life forever. Omar is a man of power whose life story is truly remarkable. Although the terms "dynamic," "high energy", and "super achiever" all describe him as he is today, they aren't exactly the words which portrayed the results accomplished early in his career. Omar and his family fled Castro's regime when he was only seven years old. They arrived in Miami, and his family had no money, no other relatives or friends in America and nothing but the clothes on their backs. Thus began Omar's journey of success in the land of freedom and opportunity. His tremendous successes lead him to becoming a self-made multi-millionaire before the age of 31, owning some of the most profitable health clubs, sports medicine facilities and many other entrepreneurial successes in the United States. From his modest beginnings he knew the pain of sales rejection and failure. Omar’s presentation is fresh and inspiring and his story unforgettable. He has trained more than two million people in more than two-thirds of the Fortune 500 companies. He has been a featured speaker at events with superstars Zig Ziglar, General Colin Powell, President Ford, Larry Bird and Paul Harvey. Janet Powers Interviews Author Caryn Golden - Feb 15,2010 | Join me when I chat with CJ Golden, the amazing author and inspirational speaker. We all need to hear what CJ has to say...for our own well being and for the generation of women to come! Here is a small section of CJ's vision and words from her website.. Accepting what we must, and rebelling against the rest... The Tao and defiant woman follows five principles of acceptance culled from the ancient philosophy of Taoism, combines that with a healthy does of defiance; defying stereotypes, negativity and self-limiting behaviors, to ease her way through the challenges and transitions she faces every day of her modern life. The beginning of a movement... The philosophy behind the Tao and defiant movement began as a personal quest for me: I wanted to discover just what it was that allowed some women to face their life transitions with joy and grace, while others were less successful at confronting the same challenges. After holding numerous workshops and seminars, and conversing with women from around the country, I learned that those who were most content with their lives – at any age – were women who combined a Tao philosophy with a healthy dose of defiance. An understanding of Taoism allowed them to recognize that we are all one with nature and that our lives are going to follow a natural path. Fighting that fact only brings stress and unhappiness. A defiant attitude added to that Tao philosophy endows them with the necessary skills to deal with these changes in a positive and healthy manner. NT WOMAN. I am very proud to announce that the second edition of the book will be on bookstore shelves everywhere as of October 2007. | 15/2/10 | Gratuit | Afficher sur iTunes |

Diva Toolbox™ Interviews Clarky Davis, the Debt Diva - Feb 09,2010 | Before I slipped into the title The Debt Diva, I was the poster child for poor financial decisions. In my 20s, I learned the hard way that you have to stay in control of your finances. I grew up in a fiscally conservative household in Louisburg, N.C., a small town outside Raleigh, N.C. My father was a banker and taught me at an early age the differences between right and wrong, cash and credit, checking and savings. My parents and our small town provided a sanctuary from labels, brands and frequent shopping escapades. Shopping excursions for clothes were carefully coordinated three times a year (once in the spring, during July and after Christmas) by my loving and thrifty mother. But once I left home for college, I dropped my family’s fiscal wisdom like last year’s styles. I’m in my 30s and still have battles from time to time with money. But, I no longer let clothing and impulse purchases sabotage my finances. If I really want it, I know it’ll go on sale. It took a few years and some hard-won lessons, but I found my style for less, and I’ve dedicated my professional career as The Debt Diva to helping others discover how they can, too. | 9/2/10 | Gratuit | Afficher sur iTunes |
