Frankmusik-Pop future
Frankmusik, not only makes great invigorating pop music but popular music that is set to be a phenomenen setting the future standards of this often brandished genre of music to new heights. 3 little words is a masterful little piece written by this quirky fashionista multi-instrumentalist who succeeds turning his hand to almost anything noisy- mixing, producing and beatboxing. With his own natural dash of cool, 3 little words balances perfectly between the song that you cant get out of your head and the tune you are craving to find blaring from the PA on a Saturday night be it down your local pub or in the vaults of the skinny jean haven of the east end. This song succeeds by hitting all the ‘popular buttons’ with a huge chorus and invigorating electric up-beats. Get moving, get this music, get Frankmusik.
Amazing single, amazingly disappointing remixes and B-sides.
3 Little Words, like everything Frankmusik creates, is a modern pop masterpiece. The mixture of super speedy rhythms, beautiful vocals, electro-pop wizardy and all round loveliness make this one of the years best. However, after waiting with baited breath to download the Paper Faces remix (AKA Stuart Price AKA Thin White Duke AKA Les Rhythmes Digitales and all round dance music wonder God, mentoring Vince(nt Frank)Musik) I feel let down. Rather than sublime hooky amazingness we get 6 minutes of chopped vocals and very standard electro bosh. L-VIS 1990, Bassline house upstart also fails to add anything. The Blackstrobe remix is acceptable but forgettable and the other two tracks are much the same. Take my advice, buy the single and listen to it on repeat (as I have been since its first release last year) and support an artist who'll hopefully make it massive in 2009. Forget about the remixes though...pfff.
