Bought this 'blind' off itunes (I'm a DFA fan, but didn't know anything about this release). I suppose a review should centre around track 1, all 3/4 of an hour of it. It meanders along happily enough until, 10 mins or so in, it morphs into an instrumental of 'When Someone Great Is Gone'. After that, all bets are off. Lunatic disco beats? Check. Funk vocals over 70's brass? Sure, why not. Sustained final note that lasts about 8 minutes? Ahh, go on then. Mad as you like. The rest of the 'album' (?) is pretty cool. Fans of DFA, in general, and LCD, in particular, wont go far wrong with this.
