A short album about love
My 17 year old put me onto this after an initial sighting on u-tube, I bought after previewing the tracks. This is a truly beautiful album, may be seen as a classic in 20 years time. In the meantime I'm just going to enjoy.
A Short Album.
The first few listens I found the songs a bit brief, and VERY short. However I've given it a few more listens and I have to say that every single track has grown on me. My favourites in particular are Sing a Happy Song and Born In a Submarine. Your songs rock ;D Looking forward to the next album..
very clever
this is a very clever take on west coast seventies folk pop- he's stripped away all the usual boring song arrangement stuff that is so tedious on the radio yet there's still so much heart and passion. Beautifully sung with the vocals way up front, very affecting. The up tempo songs have great melodies and the ballads are achingly good. Lyrically there's nobody better. Simple, wonderful. I'm so grateful this record is out there because there's not much else around to shout about. More soon please!
