These guys work bloody hard you know.
And this is the proof (well, some of it - listen to their 6Music show to hear some more) - some great songs, some good songs, and some not-quite-there songs, but then that's the nature of Song Wars: each track here was written in the space between one Saturday radio show and the next, each featuring the blood, sweat, gravy and egg of seven days worth of creative musing over whatever was the topic of choice that week. A great assortment of tunes all produced under-pressure which only shows up how bloody good these two are. Buy this - for £6 you are guaranteed to find something you like in there. And if you don't end up singing "All Night Garage" for the rest of the day, your ears aren't working properly.

Adam and Joe - Unacknowledged Modern Genius.
Adam and Joe's Song Wars Volume 1 album is a collection of their first eleven Song Wars, including the one that started it all off. My personal favourites include Adam's "Loch Ness Song", Joe's "The Right and Wrong Song", as well as the Christmas week, both songs from which should become holiday classics. If you're an A&J fan from The Adam and Joe Show, an XFM ex-listener, or a complete newbie who only just discovered them from 6Music on a Saturday morning, you already know what you're getting here. If you've heard of A&J but never gotten round to seeing what all the fuss is about, this is the perfect way to start. And if you've never heard of them... where've you been!? BUY IT NOW!
