Doesn't really know what it is...

Having purchased Afterhours 3 last year I was quite looking forward to the next installment. I must say my first impression is that this compilation certinaly isn't up to the same standard as number 3. There are some really ropey tracks in there and it sort of meanders between oldsckool-electroesque tracks and more contemporary 4/4 electronica with the odd bit of downtempo thrown in. Obviously you're getting a lot of bang for your buck with 50 tracks plus two full length mixes but it doesn't seem to get off the ground really. The other annoying thing is that while the tracks are not mixed they do seem to have been edited together with the beginnings and ends snipped short. This does make it smoother when listening through but with the two mixes was this really necessary? Bit dissapointing all round!
