A Gem of a Find!

Fab little tune, very 1960's, and quite similar to Billy Fury/Cliff Richard! Marc sounds so young, and of course, he was only 17 years old at the time of this very first recording in existence. A fascinating insight into the world of Marc Bolan. An absolute must for every Bolan fan.

I'd love to know more about this Bolan gem. Everything before this recording was released seemed to indicate that Marc's first recording session was the Blowin' In The Wind/ The Road I'm On session or the "is it - isn't it Marc "Mrs Jones". I don't recall Marc mentioning the existence of this recording in any interviews. Can't think why...it showcases the embryonic talent of a 16 year old Mark Feld brilliantly. Where has it been all this time? Credit to Danielz for releasing it on vinyl. Discoveries like this give life long Bolan fans hope that even more magic will be discovered in the years to come. A great opportunity to Keep A Little More Marc In Your Heart. As they would have said on Juke Box Jury when this was recorded "Buy it and give it 5"!!

Singer/songwriter/guitarist Marc Bolan was one of the major glam rock figures of the early '70s, especially in England. After releasing his debut solo single, "The Wizard," and its follow-ups, "The Third Degree" and "Hippy Gumbo," on Decca Records in the U.K. in 1965-1966, he joined the band John's Children in 1967.
